Hena Kripalani is a deeply curious observer with an innate desire to understand the threads that connect us all.
Guided by a profound sense of empathy, she travels the world to forge meaningful connections with both people and animals, capturing the quiet stories that often go unnoticed.
Her journey began with a BA in Sociology, a foundation that fueled her interest in human narratives and social structures. Before dedicating her life to the lens, Hena explored a diverse professional landscape—from working at an NGO dedicated to rehabilitating survivors of human trafficking to navigating the fast-paced worlds of SaaS sales and corporate event management. These varied experiences eventually led her to discover her true calling in visual storytelling.
After honing her craft with a Post Graduate Diploma in Photography from the Sri Aurobindo Centre for Arts & Communication (SACAC), Hena’s documentary work gained prestige when she was awarded a visual fellowship from SPRF to document the complexities of the informal economy. Today, she uses her camera as a tool for reflection, blending her academic background with her compassionate spirit to create evocative, documentary-style imagery.
